Hey all, today am here to talk about something that's becoming the sensation in India! Unless you are living under the rock, you would have definitely come across the term "k-drama". You would have heard about it through a friend, read about it, seen on social media or discovered it your self! (yea, thanks to boredom). :P
K- drama which is short for "Korean drama" is the talk of the town, which has found its place in the hearts of the teenage girls (largely) and doesn't look like its leaving the place anywhere in near future.
Korean, always remained us of - LG, SAMSUNG... and if you are a music lover you would have
heard about 'k-pop'. But today we have reached an era, where K-dramas are
flooding across the world and is becoming a wildly accepted foreign
culture.
So, whats k-drama?
K-drama refers to television dramas in Korean
language made in South Korea. Its unique because it has distinct features that
set it apart from regular western television series or soap operas.
I discovered this magically addictive
"k-dramas" a year ago and have been a huge fan of Korean culture,
actors, dramas, music and even the language ever since then. This Korean fever
gets you very easily. Just watch one episode of any of the series and that's
it, you would have become a lover of K-dramas long before you could
realize!
From my personal experience and analysis of why
K-dramas are becoming so famous across various countries shows some simple
reasons which no K-drama lovers can deny.
So, without any further due, lets get to it!!!!
1. ACTING!!
At times I wonder whether they even ACT! Every thing seem so real. The actors live the characters. The intensity in their acting really takes the drama to an entirely new level, making everyone want to watch it! Not bluffing, watch it to know it! You will definitely be awe struck!!!! ;)
2. STORY LINE!
Okay!! One of the main reasons why K-dramas are becoming popular is because, they are beyond the usual! Be it a love story, be it a thriller, Be it an action... or a mythology based series... everything has its own twists making it more interesting to watch. And the fact that, the series have only around 20 to 25 episodes, (without any follow up seasons)... leaves the viewers longing !!!
3. DENSITY OF CHARACTERS!
One thing that I love about K- dramas are, the importance given to every single character in the series. Be it the protagonist or the supporting characters, the amount of work put in to bring out the true essence of each character, is clearly seen when you watch the drama. Every single person brings the character to life!
4. BACKGROUND SCORE!
Music is undoubtedly one of the main ingredients to be added to enhance the flavor of a drama. The beautiful blend of the songs in the dramas makes you wanna listen to it again and again and again. It just reminds me that "language is no barrier, if you have the heart to understand". (No kidding, wasn't gangnam style catchy despite its cheesiness?? :P ...there are way too better songs you will love to listen!!)
5. SMILE !! :)
Aweee!!! I don't even have to say it. As far as, I have seen, all the Korean actors have such a cute smile that you will fall for it in an instant! I guess, their smile can melt even a rock! :P
6. EVERY GIRLS' FANTASY!
Sometimes, it may seem like a fairy tale! The unconditional love portrayed in K- dramas are a treat to the eyes. Though it is a fantasy, they make it look as real as it could be! Everything that a girl dreams to see in her prince charming... is perfectly captured in K - dramas. Which is clearly one of the reasons for the increase in viewership around the world!
7. CUTE, CUTE,CUTE!!
Everything about K- drama is way to cute to be true! Their cute accessories, cute dresses, cute expressions...etc etc... make girls go crazy!!
Girls = cute, Korean drama = cute, therefore girls = Korean drama!
simple na?? :P :D
Aaaaaand, That's it folks!
